Description

Engraving on laid paper taken from a drawing by Jean Honor? Fragonard (Grasse, 1732 ? Paris, 1806), it reproduces a detail of the frescoes painted by Annibale Carracci for the Capodimonte’s palace in Naples. Inside the composition there are the inscriptions ‘ Frago del. – Carracci pinisci – in Aedibus vulgo Capo di Monte – P. Martini f.’. At the bottom there is the the inscription ‘N 406 – Peint par Annibal Carrache au Palais de Capo di Monte ? Naples -A.P.D.R.’, flaws present, unframed
