Description

Valuable engraving taken from a work by Auguste Louis Rossel de Cercy (1736-1804), it bears the title ‘Combat Naval – Livr? le 6, Octobre 1779 par Mr. Du Cou?dic Lieutenant de Vaisseau – Dedi? au Roi’ and at the bottom there is the inscription ‘2e Livraison, et se trouve a Paris chez M?rigot le Jeune’. Engraved by L. Aubert, printer Damour. Flaws present, unframed. Copper engraving, dimensions 22.4×29.9 in.
