Description

This sculpture, made entirely of marble, is a faithful reproduction of the original group of the Blinding of Polyphemus made for the Villa of Tiberius in Sperlonga and now housed in the Archaeological Museum of the city. The depicted hero is recognisable by his pileus, the characteristic headgear of seafarers. – Dimensions 15,7×11,8×11 in.
