The religious, mathematician, geographer and engraver Cassini was active in Rome at the end of the 18th century. The celestial globe presented here still has its original colours and a cartouche identifying the object and its maker: ”Globo Celeste. Calcolato per il corrente anno sulle Osservazioni de’Sigg.
