Description

Engraving on laid paper taken from the rare nautical atlas ‘Collection of various plans of ports and harbours and some special charts of the Mediterranean Sea’, published between 1732 and 1746. The graphic work bears at the bottom the inscription ‘par jacques ayrouard pilote realt et grave par louise corne – Avec privilege du Roi’. Flawed, unframed. Copper engraving, dimensions 12.5×19.8 in.
