Description
The group is composed of: a smooth photo frame signed Theodore B. Starr, on the front is engraved the inscription ‘Airedale Terrier club of America – 1916 trophy – best dog owned and shown by a woman. Offered by Mr. Martin S. Baldwin – won by Mrs. Henry Knott’ and a glass and silver candle holder, made in Birmingham probably in 1818. Completing the set is a depos? inkwell in stamped silvered metal, probable of a Swedish manufacture. On the base is an inscription that can be translated as follows: ‘In memory of the fellows of the N?ssj? railway station’. Frame dimensions 11.2×9, candle holder 2.1×2.7, inkwell 4.7x13x8.2 in.
