Gouache monocroma su carta, Francia prima metà XVIII secolo. Il personaggio ritratto è Louis Phélypeaux, conte di Saint Florentin (1705-1777). Da un dipinto di Louis Tonque, oggi conservato al Museo di Marsiglia; il conte di Saint Florentin fu consigliere di Stato per la religione protestante, consigliere per la reale casa francese sotto il regno di Luigi XV, ministro, e cancelliere dell’ordine di San Luigi. Dimensioni 19×15 cm.

From a painting by Louis Tonque, now in the Museum of Marseilles; the Count of Saint Florentin was as well Marquess then Duke of La Vrillière; Minister of the King’s household; Minister of Foreign Affairs; Commandeur-secrétaire des Ordres du Roi; Chancellor and Keeper of the Seals of the Order of the Saint-Esprit. Was a state counselor for Protestant religious matters, a counselor for the French royal household under the reign of Louis XV, minister, and chancellor of the order of Saint Louis.
